Hong-Kong, kowloon, coming out of canton road.

This photo was basically a random shot while I was running back to the hotel in order to miss my plane...

And I feel it has a lot of the hong-kong life...
- fast...
- trendy... so many luxury band shops (one wears a bag and probably comes out of a shopping mall), both are very moderny dressed
- pretty... I have been surprized (and very happy) to see the change in the Hong Kong women since I last came. Very fit, open, proud, assuming themsemves and with class
- working (one wears a PC)
- dishumanized : no face... there's so many people and such a "stream"
- women : I've felt there where more women than men

The president... Antoine Reyes.

Actually he was presented to me as the President of the gypsies of Perpignan but he says he only is the president of the anti drugs comity of the gypsies of Perpignan...

I don't know what the truth is...

During the "Visa pour l'image" photojournalism festival in Perpignan, around 6.30 I sat down on a big place, close to the couvent des minimes, just for a rest, thinking I was so thirsty and so hungry that I should fing a place to eat ASAP. But the pizza caravan was not opened yet and here where no restaurants around....

Then on guy, a gypsy, came to me and said "take my picture", so I did... and others cam, surprized by my flash system ...

and I took more pictures...

And in the end I took only 60 photos... but spent 3 hours with various groups of gypsies, presented to me one after the other...

And I enjoyed 3 magic hours, not thinking about food and drink, and discovering the "catanan gypsies".

Catalan Gypsies are leaving in fix places (they are not nomad) and are somewhat integrated in a local life, even though the have their "gypsy life stile (in the streets, late and noisy at night"), their gypsy work (!!!). The Saint Jacques neighboorhood is 100% gypsies... just because the persons who work cannot adapt to their life rythm...

They are very open and friendly, the place is safe. There is some drugs problem but they fight it and say it is caused originally by the spanish gypsies (they donot seem to like each other)
...

Taken during the mime show called "Gavalo Kanibal" performed by Makadam Kanibal during Mimos, the mime festival taking place in Perigueux, Perigord, France.

This "upgraded" bycicle has 3 wheels, a pig head, 2 motors coming from solex and a gazoline motor for back-up...

trying a come back on the world championship tour (WCT) tour,
and therefore comes to the main WQS (world qualifying series) events like the Sooruz lacanau pro in order to requalify for the WCT,
... but did not succeed in Lacanau where he was beaten in his first round.
